10.3.2020- Saturday Creatives Seek justice Love kindness Walk humbly These principles have been in my bones for as long as I can remember. Taught to me in a number of ways, these lessons penetrate my heart at camp. It is so easy to go along in the world.. work, eat, sleep, repeat. Easy to become
I have been delighted and so refreshed by the meditations this week. All have inspired me to write more and seek peace more. Thank you to Wendy, Mike and Erik. Each was different but held the same space for our growth and inner voice.
I did not get a chance to do Rhythms earlier today. There was so much buzz about it prior to the evening program and at Afterglow that I left Afterglow so I could go do that. Soooo glad I did. Becky, your kids are amazing. YOU are amazing! Thank you for your leadership! You are a bright light!
I shared this morning that life is like a Mandala; it begins as a blank canvas and you choose the pallet colors as you grow up, sometimes not liking the choice, but in the end, mixed all together, life can turn out just fine.
Thank you to all who attended the Creatives Sharing session... I must admit that I was a bit nervous this morning and thanks to Wendy's meditation a sense of calm and peace surrounded me. A gratitude to Becky for reminding me that God will never let go of my hand and that surely grace and mercy wi
Hello JFOers old and new! I am Karen Brejska. My Mom, Beverly Coons, brought me to CFO/JFO at Asilomar in 2002. I have attended Autumn camp every year and served on the Council Ring many of those years. I experienced Lassen camp once, in 2016, which I believe is remembered as the year it was Las
This is Danielle your Creatives Leader.... I must say I feel more like a guide or a hostess than a leader. Someone to help you open up to the creativity you have within you. Truly my role is to create a space where the Divine and you can co-create. Everything else is up to you and God. A medi
It is with deep appreciation for each and every one of you for your openness to create with abandon, to be still and listen for God's message of love and then create a piece of art that represents what God shared in the quiet. I am humbled to be in the presence of such amazing artists. To quote Mic
Safe to say it has been over 40 years since I used Watercolor paints, but I figured the kit of paints had been sent to me with purpose, so I dove in. It may not show, but toward the end I really was feeling like I had some "touch" and control. As I painted, I tried to let each stroke remind me to be
Rock #2 based upon Morning Meditation again. This time Mike Hegeman. This is another little rock. The fish is swimming in the river of life as it comes along. And he is breathing in the water of the river through his gills and breathing out love, peace, trust and joy. I photographed him on top of a
I would never have known about JFO! Barbara introduced me to Lassen's JFO camp in 2017 ... and I was "hooked." In 2018, I attended Lassen again and Barbara and I attended Autumn together. In 2019 I attended Autumn camp ... and it was there that I could finally mourn my dear friend Barbara's death
Hi Everyone! So good to be seeing your smiling faces! It may not be a room full of huggers but seeing a peek at each of you in your 'native' environments is fun too. The year for me has been full of gardening, learning, trusting and cocooning at home. I was able to delve deeper into my garden than
It's amazing we have gathered from 6 time zones to experience Autumn JFO together! This is my 4th JFO (attended 2 physical and now at my 2nd virtual camp). I love the "'Kingdom Living" that is camp; the way it re-ignites and stokes that fire toward actualizing spiritual, mental and physical optimi
Hello Dear Ones, Here is my share: Ah! Autumn JFO 2020. A new adventure in unprecedented times. A pandemic prevents us from meeting physically so God has provided a way for us to connect virtually through the ethers. I got to greet the morning with today's meditation led by Wendy Silverthorn.
I hope everyone gets a chance to listen to some of the archived Morning Talks. One that is especially interesting to me is a Pauline Fillmore talk titled "Odyssey in Mexico". During her talk she shares about the time she and her husband Don joined Glenn Clark and a group fellow CFOers on a three wee
Hi JFO Family, My name is Carol and I am excited to join you all this week in the Autumn JFO virtual camp. Even though we aren't together in person, we are! What a blessing to have this technology so we can join together in this amazing way. CFO/JFO camp has been an intricate part of my life since I
